In our world, I would say that
there is a difference between Human Rights and Civil Rights. To start off with,
Human Rights are those in which are already there with you just because of the
fact that you are part of the human race. On the other hand, Civil Rights are rights
that protect you because of your citizenship in one country. I feel as though
Civil Rights exists to fulfill the betterment of society in order for us to have
strict guidelines upon what we can and cannot do, thus able to separate right
from wrong. In our case, we have the U.S. Constitution to protect us from free
speech, discrimination, equal protection, etc. Here in the United States, I
would like to believe that both human rights and civil rights are two aspects
in which we do a good job of following. However, in example, Mexico has a
very corrupt government in the way that they have attempted to follow their
human rights, but have failed over and over. It’s led to many deaths, so many
that it has became a norm in their society to witness such horrific incidences.
I have came to a conclusion that human rights and civil rights are different,
yet they come to meet the same end-goal, which is to serve the people of this
nation for the better.
